Purple and gold have long been synonymous with Louisiana and New Orleans, thanks to Mardi Gras and LSU fandom. This summer, the city is clad even more in the iconic color combination as the University of New Orleans (formerly UNO) reintegrates into the Louisiana State University (LSU) system. After more than 50 years as the University of New Orleans, the university is bringing its history back to the forefront as LSU New Orleans, marking a major new chapter for the school and its brand.
But this isn’t simply a name change. The university is refreshing its entire brand, including its purple and gold colors, as it establishes its identity within the LSU system and introduces this next chapter to audiences across New Orleans and beyond.
That’s where Roux comes in.
Roux is partnering with Agency Pure on creative, Causeway Solutions on data and audience research, and The Earhardt Group on PR to provide media planning and buying services. As one of the largest media buying agencies in the Gulf South, Roux brings a strong understanding of the local market and the audiences LSU New Orleans is looking to reach.
A major focus of the partnership is understanding where prospective students are coming from and establishing a true cost per acquisition. Alongside the larger team, Roux is also exploring how in-state and out-of-state perceptions of LSU New Orleans can influence a prospective student’s decision to apply.
We’re excited to help LSU New Orleans introduce this next chapter to the audiences who matter most and turn a historic name change into meaningful connections with future students.
When brands are ready to turn a new chapter into meaningful connections and measurable growth, they call Roux Advertising.
